For many executives, the decision to engage external advisors raises several concerns - concerns about cost, about opening the organisation to external scrutiny, and about long-term dependence on external support. Echobox seeks to tackle these barriers by deploying its expertise flexibly, in terms of:
- Breadth of possible roles. Ian Mombru's extensive consulting experience allows him to support clients in a variety of ways, from that of a "sparring partner" to a senior executive facing a challenging strategic decision, to that of managing a large corporate task force.
- Lean staffing model. Unlike typical consulting teams, echobox deploys a senior advisor on a full-time or near full-time basis, while more junior resources are drawn in as and when they are needed, from a network of trusted independent researchers and analysts.
- Leveraging client capabilities. Our preferred model is to tap into resources within the client organisation - both from a cost-effectiveness standpoint, as well as for ensuring continuity.
- Limited formalities. Echobox avoids tying clients to any extensive contractual commitments, and clients are free to terminate a project at any stage.
